I would suggest that you see a doctor asap - who knows what could be causing that? Going around the internet looking for answers will either make you worry about something that's not wrong with you, or make you miss getting the right kind of medical attention for your problem.

Do you snore? Are you overweight? I wonder if it is a sleep apnea problem -- your breath stopping for minutes at a time while sleeping. But it could be something else entirely, and it could be serious - so see a doctor asap.
