While i would not ever recommend something violent or illegal, I do find that the most basic way of revenge with relative ease is to slash tires. If you would like to make a larger problem with his vehicle I would go for the damaging of the gas line to the engine of course you would have to have access to the engine which if you did and wanted to decrease chances of getting going to jail it would be good to make it look like wear and tear to the line using sandpaper or something along those lines. Sugar in the gas tank would destroy the engine next time it was driven because it would turn the gas into sludge.
If you would like to do something more "personal" i suppose you could not go wrong with a few drops of Visine eye-wash in his food or drink the primary active ingredient of which will cause severe diarrhea for a good amount of time with the use of just a few drops.
Also if you found the time and access you could go ahead and place some rats, roaches or ants (get a Queen as these will undoubtedly cause a massive infestation) termites or other pests would be good for destroying a home, but if you go for the rats ants or roaches leave a little food in an obscure area for them to feed. A few more options would be to unscrew or unbolt bathroom or kitchen fixtures. Placing powerful magnets hidden close to the TV would destroy color and sound but hide them well or if their strong enough you could just sneak in place them on there for a while and sneak back out with them. Upward facing tacks under then carpet would be sure to cause some pain. there are various other revenge techniques I Know of but it is 1 o clock as i am writing this so i am pretty tired.
